Entrechat Press operates under Adina Samuels Inc. and reflects the company’s commitment to developing first-time nonfiction authors through high touch editorial and publishing support.

Based in Toronto, we publish a curated list of purpose-driven nonfiction and support authors through an end-to-end path from first draft to finished book.

Where courage meets craft

As your publisher, we manage:

  • Editorial Production

  • Design

  • Formatting

  • Distribution

  • Meta Data

  • Printing

Edit for impact

Once the draft is on the page, we refine it. This is where we tighten the narrative, sharpen the ideas, and make sure your voice sounds like you on your best day. We move through a clear editorial process, with room for your feedback at every stage, until we have a clean, publish ready manuscript.

Design the book, inside and out

Next, the manuscript becomes a book. We design a professional cover, typeset the interior, and prepare files for print and digital platforms. You will see proofs at each stage and have a chance to weigh in on look and feel.

Print and distribute

When you approve the design, we set your book up for printing. That can include print on demand, a local print run for launch events, or both. We handle the technical details—things like ISBNs, spine width, and printer specs, so you can focus on the thrilling part: opening that first box of books.

Entrechat Press titles are printed locally for events and hand selling, listed on major online retailers through print on demand, and pitched to independent bookstores and specialty shops where your readers already spend time. Together we will decide what makes sense for your book, your audience, and your goals.

How Entrechat Press Is Different

Publishing has no shortage of options. What makes Entrechat Press different is not just how we publish, but how we treat authors.

Traditional Publishing
In a traditional deal, authors often give up significant control. Copyright is frequently licensed for long periods. Creative decisions, timelines, and marketing priorities are largely out of the author’s hands. Advances are rare for first-time authors, royalties are modest, and books can go out of print if they do not meet sales expectations.

Vanity or Pay-to-Publish Presses
Many vanity presses charge high fees while offering limited transparency. Authors may unknowingly sign away rights, face unclear royalty structures, or discover hidden costs after publication. The emphasis is often on volume, not quality or long-term impact.

Entrechat Press
Entrechat Press was built for first-time nonfiction authors who care deeply about their work and their legacy.

You are treated as a partner, not a product.

We combine the professionalism of traditional publishing with the flexibility of independent publishing, while offering hands-on editorial, production, and strategic support at every stage.

This is publishing designed for leaders, thinkers, and founders who want to do it right the first time.

  • An entrechat is a classical ballet jump.

It requires years of training, perfect timing, and the courage to leave the ground.

The movement itself is defined by crossing, interweaving legs.

We chose the name Entrechat Press because publishing a first book works the same way.

Writing a book is a leap. It is a moment where preparation meets risk.

From the outside, the result can look effortless. But behind the scenes, we know it is anything but.

At the same time, no entrechat happens alone. It requires alignment, trust, and collaboration: author and publisher moving together.

Entrechat Press exists to support that leap. We bring structure, experience, and care. You bring the story, the ideas, and the voice. Together, we create work that is intentional, rigorous, and worthy of lasting impact.

This is where courage meets craft.
